Contract:
Temp/Contract

Sussex Teachers are working with a large primary school in Burgess Hill to find an Early Years class teacher. This full-time contract will begin on the 8th of March and will run until the end of the academic year.

This three-form primary school has been cleverly designed to maximise all the benefits of a large school and yet still retain a friendly and warm atmosphere. The school is located only a 25-minute car journey from Brighton and a 4-minute walk from the local train station. The schools headteacher has a clear vision to raise the attainment and standards for all pupils; and parents, staff and children are positive about the improvements taking place throughout the school.

With three classes in the foundation stage, the reception children start their time in a separate dedicated building. This enables children to feel 'cocooned' during their first year at school and, as the year progresses, they are gradually introduced to other areas around the school building. Planning will be provided for you to work from, but you will be welcome to change these to suit your style of teaching. You will receive an afternoon of non-contact time, where you will have the opportunity to mark and assess your pupils work, tweak plans, and arrange resources for future lessons.

The successful teacher will be passionate about Early Years teaching, with a good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and early childhood development. You will hold QTS status and will have completed your induction year. You will have recent experience teaching in a Reception or Nursery classroom and be able to provide 2 good references to support your application.

If you are available immediately and would like more information on this role, please give Kim a call on 01273 626800. We look forward to hearing from you.
