KS2 paternity cover

£120 - £140 a day
Independent prep school
West Sussex

We are working with a co-ed prep school in Haywards Heath to find a KS2 Class Teacher for a a 2-week paternity cover at the start of June. We require an enthusiastic and experience Year 3 teacher to join them on supply, starting approximately on the 3rd of June for two weeks.

The Headteacher describes the school as happy, kind and purposeful with a strong sense of community and citizenship. This family school were graded as “Excellent” in every area at their most recent ISI inspection, and children and staff are incredibly proud of their school and learning environment. The grounds of the school are situated in over 50 acres of parkland and playing fields, near the village of Handcross and is very easily accessible by car from Crawley, Haywards Heath, Brighton and Horsham.

We require a supply teacher to join the school for a 2-week booking, covering their permanent member of staff who will be taking paternity leave, with an approximate start of the 3rd of June. The school has two Year 3 classes, meaning you will have a parallel class teacher to plan and share resources with. Full planning will be left to you to work from for the first week, and you will work alongside the parallel class teacher to create plans for the second week. You will benefit from having an experienced class Teaching Assistant with you every morning, and for three afternoons a week your pupils take part in games and outside activities. As it is an independent school the days run slightly longer than usual, with children arriving for school at 8am and leaving at 5pm.

You will be joining a supportive and happy staff team, with exciting learning environments and children who are keen to learn. Behaviour of the class is exceptional, and small class sizes mean you can make a real impact on children’s learning and education. By working through Sussex Teachers, you will be paid a competitive daily rate, and will work with an expert recruiter to find roles that suit your career and lifestyle when this assignment is completed.

If you would like to find out more information about this role and the school please contact us on 01273 626800. We look forward to hearing from you.
