Sussex Teachers are working with a girl’s secondary school in Horsham, West Sussex to find a full or part time Science teacher to begin as soon as possible.

This non-selective girls-only secondary school caters to children aged from 11-16. With outstanding exam results the school has one of the highest pass rates in Sussex and enjoys a well-established reputation for academic success, recognised by Ofsted in 2010 and 2014 as an “Outstanding” school. Situated on the east side of Horsham, the school is a 10-minute walk from the nearest train station and is very easy to get to via public transport.  

You will be teaching Science to Key Stages 3 and 4, covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You will be teaching the KS4 Students the combined GCSE rather than the triple and using a scheme of work that has been planned and modified to match he new curriculum. You will be available to teach at least 3 days a week, teaching on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday in Week 1 and a Monday, Thursday and Friday in Week 2. 

You will be a motivated, and talented science specialist, with Qualified Teacher Status. You must be confident in teaching Physics, Biology and Chemistry students from all abilities across years 7 – 11. Depending on your circumstances, the school can provide planning, or you can produce your own lessons. You will be paid accordingly should you decide to provide your own lessons. You will be working in a positive and welcoming environment, for an ambitious and forward-thinking school.
