Sussex Teachers are working with a Church of Englang Primary school in Battle to find Teaching Assistants to join their team from the 8th of March. This village primary school are looking for 2 part time TA's to cover for 4 weeks until the Easter break. 

This Church of England Primary is a very popular and over-subscribed village school. Based in Battle, East Sussex the school is happy, caring and inclusive with diligent and well-behaved students. Due to additional funding the school have asked us to find them several teaching assistants who are able to support across the school and work with students from Reception to Year 6.

As a classroom teaching assistant, you will support the class teacher in delivering exciting lessons to children across the primary year groups. You will provide additional guidance to pupils during class activities, either on a one to one basis or in small groups. As well as general TA duties you will be working with pupils with challenging behaviour, and so it is important that you follow the school’s behaviour policies and positive reward systems to ensure a consistent and fair approach to the students in your care.

We are looking for someone with experience supporting learners with SEN, whether as Class Teaching Assistant or an Individual Needs Assistant. Ideally you will have experience of working with challenging behaviour.  You must have a minimum of 3 months recent experience working in schools and be able to evidence this through Good references. You will be available to start from the 8th of March until the 2nd of April, and able to work from 8.30 am until 1pm covering lessons in the morning and then an hour of Midday supervision (lunch cover).

You will be paid a competitive hourly rate and once registered with Sussex Teachers will have exclusive access to TA and INA roles at our partnership schools. We work closely with schools across Sussex to find education staff for both temporary and part time roles and will work on your behalf to find roles that suit you and your career. When this assignment is completed you will benefit from working with a specialist education consultant who can assist you in finding future roles.
